The personal bit
Why these
projects.
I wanted to make simple puzzle and arcade games my two daughters could play on their tablets or my retro handhelds. I spend more time tinkering with the handhelds than playing games on them, so it’s nice when the kids get to enjoy the games.
After seeing tablet games ask for money as soon as my daughters finish the first level, I made them a candy-themed kart racer. That held their attention for a day, which is a high compliment, I think. Next up might be another game they like—or something to help my six-year-old with reading.
